Let the Earth Rejoice

Let the earth rejoice.  For the Bride is made herself ready.  The fulfillment of all things is at hand.  Sound the trumpet.  For the River of God flows from His throne and the desert shall blossom.

Fear not.  For the Lord of Glory shall now show forth His glory and none can but worship Him.  These are the times of the resurrection, so fear not the death of this world for I am the resurrection and the life.

Today, clean you garments, wash your hands and feet.  Gather before Me for I am about to speak and all of creation will hear.

John 11:25-26

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"

Commentary

This word seems contradictory to the state we find the world in today because it says to rejoice.  But the angels rejoiced over the earth at the birth of Jesus though hard times were ahead.  And so is the paradox of this word.  Christ coming soon for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand, and we must reach out and grasp it.

The second sentence says that “the bride is made herself ready”.  I am not sure why the word “is” is used here.  But I can see that “will” and “has” would probably not be appropriate for this time, so tense must somehow be different in the language of the Kingdom.  This probably also relates to the last two sentences of the word about “clean your garments?”

The first paragraph also speaks of the fulfillment of all things which must refer to His return.  For His return will fulfill most of the prophecies which are the establishment of the Kingdom of God on earth to rule all of creation.  This must be at hand which means not only that that it is close but also that it can be grasped.

The “fear not” in this word shows God’s dominion of all things including death.  This can pertain to the death of our dreams and hopes but also our very physical death.

His challenge in this word is to clean your garments and come before Him.  When I looked this up I found that He had given this challenge to the Israelites in the wilderness before He appeared before them.

Exodus 19:10-11

10      And the LORD said to Moses, "Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow. Have them wash their clothes

11      and be ready by the third day, because on that day the LORD will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.

Of course to clean you garments represents your salvation and submission to the Lord’s will.  Garments often represent righteousness in the bible and God is calling us to holiness.   He is also challenging us to come before Him.  The Israelites missed their opportunity to know God on the mountain and instead Moses went up.  This invitation is for each one personally and must be heeded directly by us to come to Him.  This is not a time to shrink back.
