Prayer for the Body

Lord, let us delight in you - oh what a joy! Joy as we dwell in your land and within the walls of your kingdom. A kingdom that provides all we need in body, soul and spirit.

Lord, we delight in the home schooling with you to cultivate our faith. Feed us Lord, so we may grow in you and be faithful citizens of your kingdom.

Psalms 37:3-4

Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Commentary

The word tells us that as we dwell in His land our faithfulness will be cultivated. The KJV says thou shalt dwell in the land and be fed. As we pray the Lord's prayer and ask that God give us the daily bread, it will only reach its full nutritional value if we eat it while dwelling in His land. For the purity of his daily bread will not be spoiled if we partake of it in the kingdom, and it will nourish us to grow our faith. For God desires to cultivate our faith like the farmer cultivates the land for a bountiful harvest. Preparing and sowing us for a crop that will feel the hungry.
