Faith is as Faith Does

What is faith?  Is it not a heart belief in Me and My will.  For only if you know Me do you have faith in Me.  Only if you know my ways do you have faith in My ways.  This is a season to know Me and My ways.  Though you know the times an seasons of this world, do you truly know Me and My ways?  In this season I will reveal to you that which I am doing and you will see in a new way, My way.  Ask of Me that you may believe and know in your heart and I will invite you up to the mountain that you may hear, see and know what I am doing.

For your faith isn’t just hearing want I am saying, but also knowing what I am doing.  For there are those that know My words, but there are but a few that know My ways.  I am giving you a new faith that knows My ways.

Ps 103:7

He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel:

Exodus 33:12-13, 17

Moses said to the LORD, "You have been telling me, 'Lead these people,' but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, 'I know you by name and you have found favor with me.' If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people." . . .

And the LORD said to Moses, "I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name."

Commentary

This prophetic word extends the concept of faith from hearing and believing what God is saying, to also include knowing His ways that you may doing what you see Him doing.  The example is Moses.  For though the people rejected the invitation to go up to God at Mount Sinai, Moses went up and challenged God to show him His ways.  This is a deeper abiding faith that is built though personal relationship.  In this word God is offering to take us up like He took Moses on Mount Sinai and show us His ways.  I believe this is becoming more crucial in these days as we will need more and more to see what is happening from God’s perspective.

When Peter heard Jesus talk about being crucified, He said that he would not allow that to happen and even cut of the ear of a soldier who was coming to take Jesus.  But Jesus understood that the plan of the Father was perfect, but that Peter could not see the ways of God.

We are now in days that I believe are much like those days when it is difficult to see whether the things that are happening are just evil to be resisted, or part of God’s plan to establish His kingdom on earth.   The way of the cross seems foolish to those who cannot see the ways of God.  The ways of the last days also seem to be tragic, but what if it is the best way to bring forth the Kingdom of God.
