Prepare Ye the Way

Run with joy. For this is a time of joy and not despair. As a bride prepares for her wedding, she lives with the joy of expectation. Thought there is much work to do there is joy and excitement for the big event that is coming quickly. So you should prepare for your new life in My kingdom with the joy of a bride. See, the signs of My coming are everywhere.

But you say, “how can I prepare?” I tell you to begin to remove the things that are not of My Kingdom and do not honor Me. Begin to walk, begin to talk as holy royalty. Be gracious and confident as a chosen member of My royal family. Represent Me with My love, My joy, and My peace. Encourage the hopeless, comfort the needy. Speak My truth with boldness and stand for righteousness, even when others follow the lie.

Now is your time to arise and shine. Prepare ye the way of the Lord, for I am coming soon.

Isaiah 60:1-5

1 "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.

2 See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you.

3 Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

4 "Lift up your eyes and look about you: All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the arm.

5 Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come.

Commentary

This prophetic word says that even though the times seem to be leading away from God for the world, the Lord is saying that these things are written and therefore we should be excited that it means that His return is near.

The comparison is for a bride preparing for Her wedding. It is a busy time with much to do, but the joy of the coming wedding keeps her moving forward with her preparations. As Kate Middleton had to prepare for her new life a the queen, we must prepare to represent our King when He comes. I am sure once Kate realized that she was going to marry a king that she had to make changes to her life style and that there were things she could no longer do because of the identity of royalty. She need to think about how her witness would be a manifestation of royalty. So must we.
