The Gospel of James

(Received in Capernaum, Israel)

For all the things I did and every step I walked created the gospel.  For I chose the places and I ordained the work.   And so it is today.  For the work didn’t end in Jerusalem at the cross, it continues to this day.  For the Father is still working and the Spirit is seeking those who walk as I walked.  What Gospel are you writing?  For the books are still being written and will be told and retold for eternity. 

John 21:24-25

This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.  Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

Commentary

Jesus did not just sit down and write the Gospel.  It was manifest by where He went, what He did, and what He said.   Another wrote it down.  Although the bible is looked upon as a complete work, it is not the complete work of the Gospel because all the works were not written in the bible and works did not stop when Jesus left the earth (John 14:12).   Therefore, the work of Jesus continues today though believers by the power of the Holy Spirit as the Lord wills.  This word says that a book of your works is being written and recorded in heaven and will be a testimony of overcoming the devil.  After the Lord takes His earthly throne, the stories will be told and retold for eternity.   The Gospel of James is the book that I am writing.  What book are you writing?
