The Music Has Stopped

It is no longer time to circle the chairs. The music has stopped and it is time to take a seat. But though in the game of musical chairs, there are not enough chairs, I have many chairs and only a remnant of those contesting for My calling, My purpose, and My glory. Take your position in the Kingdom and begin to serve Me with all diligence and courage, and I will establish you with My hand and with My anointing. It is not about the office given by man. It is about the office given by Me. For My body has many members, and you must be a member of My body. Join together with the gifts and callings that I have given you, and I will lead you on the narrow path that leads to the higher calling for this time and the time to come.

1 Corinthians 12:12-13

The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body

1 Corinthians 12:31

But eagerly desire the greater gifts. And now I will show you the most excellent way.

Commentary

Often we are in a state of just circling the chairs as in the game of musical chairs. In the game you continue circling until the music stops, then you grab a chair and sit down. In the game there are less chairs than people so those that don’t get chairs are out of the game. But God has an abundance of chairs (positions in the Body), but many people are still not willing to claim one. I believe that God is saying that it is time to find your place in the body and be about your Father’s business. Your position in the body is based upon your gifting as shown in 1 Corinthians 12. This is not the same as taking a position in a church or ministry as you would for a job, this is about joining with those in the body of Christ that God leads you to and begin using your spiritual gifts. IN the word the Lord promises that He will provide a path for you that will lead to great rewards in this life and the life to come.
