Season of Faith

I am declaring a season of faith.  Faith in Me.  Faith in the Me in you.  Faith in hearing what I am saying.  Faith in seeing what I am doing.  Faith in following your heart led by Me.

Living by faith is like riding a bicycle.  You must learn knowing that I am there to catch you.  As you learn to ride a bicycle by following the sense of balance I have built into your body, know that I have built into your Spirit a sense of balance to keep you upright.  But as it is hard to balance a bicycle when you are stopped, so it is also hard to ride the bicycle of faith without moving forward.  So don’t let fear stop you or paralyze you, for you will surely fall.

So mount up.  This is a season of moving forward with the balance of My Spirit.  Though it will require some pedaling on your part, you will experience the joy and freedom of moving forward with speed and confidence.

Hebrews 11:6

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Commentary

This is another prophetic word about the current spiritual season.  God is offering us a time of increased faith.  We are being encouraged to move forward with the plans that God has placed in our heart.  In this prophetic word, living by faith is like learning to ride a bicycle.  The bicycle extends your capabilities, and gives you the freedom of movement to cover more territory.  But riding a bicycle is about learning to balance by trusting the subconscious nerve and muscle systems of the body.  So it is with walking by faith.  You must learn to trust your spiritual relationship with God to keep you balanced so you don’t fall.  But as this word says, to keep your balance riding a bicycle, you need to keep moving.  If you stop, you lose your balance.  So it is with faith.  Faith is about moving with the Spirit.  The Spirit is always moving and is defined as wind or breath, not just air, as defined in the Greek:

4151  pneuma (pnyoo'-mah);

from 4154; a current of air, i.e. breath (blast) or a breeze; by analogy or figuratively, a spirit, i.e. (human) the rational soul, (by implication) vital principle, mental disposition, etc., or (superhuman) an angel, demon, or (divine) God, Christ's spirit, the Holy Spirit:   KJV-- ghost, life, spirit (-ual, -ually), mind.

The reference to pedaling  means that we will have to provide the effort to keep moving.  But as with faith, the movement is must more efficient than just walking.  Maybe we ought to be riding by faith, not just walking by faith.
