The Higher Calling
Today I am giving you a new hunger and a new thirst for Me and for My Kingdom. For today I can be found if you seek Me with all of your heart. I have set out signs and markers that will lead you into all truth and wisdom, all joy and peace. But you must set out on the quest to discover all that I have prepared for you. So pack light and leave you old thoughts and ways behind you. For I am opening a new chapter in your life that will surely bring you into your final destiny for this age. Ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and I will open the doors that you may receive what I have prepared for you. Now is the time and place to begin your expedition to the top, to the higher calling. All is ready, go forth.
Philippians 3:12-14
Not that I have already obtained {it} or have already become perfect, but I press on in order that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of {it} yet; but one thing {I do} forgetting what {lies} behind and reaching forward to what {lies} ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Commentary
This prophetic word indicates that the time is now to press on into your calling. I believe the “today” and “now” refer to this immediate season. This will be evident by your new hunger and thirst for the things of God and the calling that has been in your heart. The term of a “new chapter” in your life indicates that there is about to be a significant change or shift in your life. But this word requires you to go on a “quest” to discover your calling and the preparations that God has made for you to fulfill it.
The scripture verse Philippians 3:12-14 shows the Paul realized that he had to continue to press on to fulfill the calling that God has called him to. He also stated the importance of forgetting what lies behind in order to focus on what is ahead.
