Happy Anniversary
Pentecost comes as a celebration of our anniversary of another year together as My church, My betrothed bride. I am honored and joyful that you remember our anniversary and offer me a gift from the heart. For I have prepared My gift for you. This year I am giving you a revelation of your authority in Me that will bring you a boldness and confidence. Though the world lives in fear and rage, you must live in righteousness, peace and joy. For it is time for My church to arise to the majesty and splendor of a bride prepared to meet her groom and her King. Walk worthy of your calling. Walk worthy of your destiny. Put on My gift of Authority and wear it as a crown of honor and favor from Me. Bless and be a blessing. Stand for truth and righteousness. Rebuke the darkness that enslaves the captives. Walk in the Light as you are in the light. Let your light shine before men that they may glorify your Father In heaven and your coming husband and King. Happy anniversary.
Acts 1:8
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth
Luke 4:32, 36-37
They were amazed at his teaching, because his message had authority. . .
All the people were amazed and said to each other, "What is this teaching? with authority and power he gives orders to evil spirits and they come out!"
And the news about him spread throughout the surrounding area.
I John 1:5-7
This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
Commentary
Pentecost was when the Holy Spirit was given unto the church with the power and commission to be His witness. It was the day when these events occurred in biblical history:
• The Feast of Weeks (Exodus 34:22) also called Shavu'ot celebrates the first fruits of the wheat harvest.
• The giving of the Torah (Ten Commandments) to the Israelites by God through Moses fifty days after leaving Egypt.
• The Church's birthday and a celebration of the giving of the Holy Spirit
• The birthday of Israel as a nation on May 14, 1948 (week before Pentecost or day before Pentecost according to biblical new moon)
• The capture of Jerusalem June 7, 1967 (week before Pentecost but not opened by military until Pentecost)
Therefore, I believe it is a significant day in biblical history and will probably be a significant day in the return of Jesus, possibly our wedding day. I reference the wedding at Cana and two other linking events. Cana was when the water in the 6 vessels (6 the number of man) was turned to wine. This could be a prophetic picture of the filling of the Holy Spirit. Some was also drawn out and taken to the master of the feast (God) who declared that the sample of the wine was good, which could be a picture of the wheat harvest (Pentecost) offering. It was also the beginning of miracles. To me that is a prophetic picture of Pentecost, plus a prophetic picture of our wedding day. Consider the following verses.
Exodus 19:10-11
And the LORD said to Moses, "Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow. Have them wash their clothes and be ready by the third day, because on that day the LORD will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.
This happened on the day celebrated as Pentecost, a prophetic picture of a wedding day.
John 2:1-3, 7-10
1 On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.
2 Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.
3 And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, "They have no wine." . . .
7 Jesus said to them, "Fill the waterpots with water." And they filled them up to the brim.
8 And He said to them, "Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast." And they took it.
9 When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom.
10 And he said to him, "Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!"
Esther 5:1-2
On the third day Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the palace, in front of the king's hall. The king was sitting on his royal throne in the hall, facing the entrance. When he saw Queen Esther standing in the court, he was pleased with her and held out to her the gold scepter that was in his hand. So Esther approached and touched the tip of the scepter.
In any case, I believe that Pentecost is a significant anniversary for our celebration and a time to celebrate the gift of the promise, which was received and is yet to be received.
