Accelerate

Take bigger steps and accelerate. Many are holding back and taking small steps so that they can change direction easily, but I am saying that it is time to lengthen your stride. Your direction for this season is clear, for I have given you a consistent word to guide you. You have come out of the turns and changes and are ready for the straight road ahead. Increase your stride, increase your speed. Focus and accelerate into the work ahead. This is to be a season of productive work for the kingdom. Move boldly with confidence and authority. I have prepared the road ahead and made way a straight path for you. It is time to accelerate and feel the movement of the Spirit on your face.

1 Corinthians 9:24-26

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air.

Habakkuk 2:1-4

I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint.

Then the LORD replied: "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay. . .

-- but the righteous will live by his faith--

Commentary

This prophetic word says that it is time to accelerate forward. I believe we have been in a period of watching and moving cautiously. But now God is saying that He has made our situation clear and has given us a strategy. Now it is time for us to take this plan and move forward with haste. The words “focus” and “accelerate” say that we should not be distracted by other demands, but should take advantage of the time He has given us.

In the scripture from Habakkuk above, God says that we should wait and watch on the wall, but once the situation is clear, we should write it clearly so that the herald can run with it. This word says that the message is clear enough. Now write it and run with it.
