Pray Without Ceasing

Pray without ceasing. Prayer is the communication of our relationship. For in prayer we share the things of the world and the things of the Spirit. Though you live in this world, you are not of the world, you are of Me. Come let us share this day. Share your world with Me and I will share My Kingdom with you. It the things we share together that are celebrated over and over together. It is the things we share together that become a part of Me. You may think that prayer with Me does not matter much because I know all things. Yet knowing something is not experiencing it, and I desire to experience your life with you. Knowing about someone is not the same as knowing someone, and I desire to know you. Do you desire to know Me?

John 17:3

Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

John 14:16-19

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever-- the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live.

Commentary

This prophetic word is an invitation for a deeper relationship with God himself. It is awesome thing to consider that we can talk directly to God and share our lives with Him everyday. If fact, I believe that we have a unique opportunity as the bride of Christ to relate directly to God as Father. After the wedding of Jesus, I am not sure that the rest of creation and even those who live as humans on the earth, will be able to experience this. And yet too often we don’t grasp the significance. We were created in His image to share our live with Him, and for Him to share His eternal life with us.

One challenging part of the prophetic word is the passage “It the things we share together that are celebrated over and over together. It is the things we share together that become a part of Me.” This makes sense to me in my personal life. Those things that are shared live on as memories of those that I shared it with, and it becomes a bond that adds great value to these events. Therefore, those things that we share directly with God will create an eternal bond with Him and add value to our life.

This word does not refer to prayer as standing and asking Him for things. This form of prayer is simply inviting Him to be with you everywhere you go and sharing with Him as you would a friend along side of you. This is what is promised in the Scriptures above through the Holy Spirit. The Greek word used to describe the Holy Spirit by John in chapters 14, 15, and 16 of his gospel is paráklētos which means, "one who consoles or comforts, one who encourages or uplifts; hence refreshes, and/or one who intercedes on our behalf as an advocate in court". The English derivative word "Paraclete" means, "called to one's side", a wonderful definition of your closest relationship.

Therefore this prophetic word is a very personal invitation. But know that every day lost without sharing it with God, is another day lost to the world.
