Colossians 2

Paul wrote a message to the church of Colossians preaching to the congregation about their spiritual fullness in Christ. Paul saw and heard the many false doctrines that were being taught by various ministers of the first churches. Paul gave the church of Colossians a full understanding of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. Paul states that: “ For in Christ all the fullness of Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.” In verse 11--15of this chapter Paul shows the congregation through this letter how the fulfillment of the message of the cross applied to their lives and as well as their faith.

The Lord says: Avoid the spider webs of the enemy and the fruit there of. When seeking and walking out the truth there will always be a deceptive philosophy that persuades the minds and hearts of men. However, so long as My children who are rooted and built up in Me, then the doctrines of men will not shake their foundation.

Colossians 2:11-15

In him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of the sinful nature, not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the circumcision done by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead.

When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins,

having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross.

And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
