Walk the Ground

Soon the moment will come. Soon the time of your visitation will be here. Are you ready to run with the horsemen? Be ready to answer with the wisdom I have shown you. Be ready to teach, to mentor, to pray, to heal, and to prophesy. For the Kingdom of God is at hand. And I will use you to reveal it to those that seek Me and My Holy City. Walk the grounds of what you believe with Me. Discuss and test it with those I have placed around you. For this will be the strong foundation for that which I will build and grow through you, as a manifestation of My Kingdom.

2 Timothy 4:2-4

Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage-- with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

Luke 6:47-48

I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.

Commentary

This prophetic word is notice that it is time to be prepared for the work of the ministry. This word is an encouragement to review our understanding of the gospel message in the light of the new revelation that has come forth recently. Every Christian should be ready with their testimony or presentation of the gospel so that God may call on you when he chooses. For we don’t know when the opportunity may come to testify or teach. The warning for Timothy seems to fit well in today’s world where many variations of the gospel are arising to fit the lifestyle of those being courted by the religions and churches today. But there is only one Christ, one Spirit, one truth and one name by which men can be saved.

Ephesians 4:4-6

There is one body and one Spirit-- just as you were called to one hope when you were called-- one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

Acts 4:12

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.

Consequently, there is only one true gospel, though each of us make choose to share in different ways. But one truth cannot be denied for salvation.

John 8:24

I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am [the one I claim to be], you will indeed die in your sins.

For Luke 6:46-47 shown above will come soon to test our foundation. And only the true gospel can be foundation for the work of the Kingdom. So we are encouraged to “walk the ground” and inspect the foundation so that we can be ready when we are called forth to manifest the Kingdom of God.
