Light of Life

I am the light of life. I am the light of men. I am the light that illuminates the dark places that scatters the deeds of darkness. Today I am giving you My torch and My beacon. For the torch lights the close path for sure footing and the beacon lights the direction to My kingdom and your destiny. See the world in the new light. See the Kingdom in the new light. See yourself in the new light. See others through the new light. For as you see, so shall your heart and mind be changed and conformed to Me. For as the dawn brings the new day, so will your faith rise with the dawning of the new light from above.

Ephesians 5:8-10

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord.

Commentary

This prophetic word says that God will begin to give us light as a torch to guide our near footsteps and a beacon to guide our distant direction. This new light will help us to see things differently and more like God sees them. This word says that this will cause us to change our hearts and minds to conform to Him and His ways. As we yield to this new lighting of our life, our faith in Him will grow, because we will begin to see things as God sees them. Therefore we will learn to trust Him in what is truly happening around us.

I believe this is critical for this time, because the news and ways of this world clearly don’t show what God is doing. When Peter told the Jesus that He would not allow Him to be betrayed and crucified, Jesus said “get behind Me, Satan.” Peter did not understand that God’s plan was a perfect plan, even though it appeared the enemy was winning. Maybe today, things look like the enemy is winning, but perhaps the plan of God is manifesting and we are looking at it like Peter, and not through the light of the Lord.

We must be conformed into His viewpoint so that we can live by faith and not by sight from the light of this world.
