Each New Day

 

For today I am conceiving a new plan, a new hope, a new glory.  For I am a living God and I seek that which is new and that which is greater.  For though yesterday had glory, today shall have more glory.  Though I speak My words from the beginning, they continue to speak new truth until the end, even to the fulfillment.  Therefore, do not limit Me today, for behold, I do a new thing.  Only by coming before Me today will you be able to walk in the fullness of today.  Come before Me each day and find yet a new gift, a new treasure, a new power, and a new glory.   For though the enemy cannot create, I can and will.  Seek Me for today’s solutions, for I delight in showing My goodness and mercy, My glory and My power.  Today, will your life declare that I live and move and have My being in you? 

 

 

Isaiah 43:18-19

"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.         See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.

 

Matthew 6:9-11

This, then, is how you should pray: "'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,  your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us today our daily bread.”

 

Commentary

 

This word says that God is alive and involved in our lives on a daily basis.  No matter what happened yesterday, He has a plan for us today.  Therefore, we should not limit our faith just to what He said to us yesterday, because perhaps today, He will reveal a new plan, a new hope, a new healing, a new deliverance, a new revelation, a new wisdom.  (Isaiah 4318-19)  Lamentations says that His compassions are new every morning.

 

Lamentations 3:22-23

Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.   They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

 

For we serve a creator God who, though He does not change, He is always creating, always speaking, always healing.  Though our bible is hundreds and even thousands of years old, God continues to speak new truths through His word.  And He can continue to speak new truths into your situation. 

 

But He does require that you come before Him each day to receive the grace, the new word, and the new plan.   Read the following scriptures and see that Jesus says that he is the bread coming down from Heaven for which manna was only a shadow. 

 

Exodus 16:4

Then the LORD said to Moses, "I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions.

 

John 6:51

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."

 

Jesus is also the living Word.  Therefore, God has a new word, new bread, for you each day through Jesus Christ.  But as you study the manna in Exodus, it was important that you went out and gather it.  If you did, there was always enough.  But if you tried to gather enough for tomorrow, then it would spoil by then.  This presents a clear pattern for our relationship with the living manna, Jesus Christ.  We must seek Him everyday as He tells us in His instructions on prayer in Matthew 6:9-11.
