My Cloud is Moving

My cloud is moving. Sound the call for I am leading you out of this place. Send out the scouts of Judah to follow quickly. Prepare the archers to follow closely, for surely you are moving to a new place, a place that you have not been before. For this is a season of movement forward toward your place of destiny. But know that I have already gone before to prepare the way that you may move quickly. You will follow My path as a river that follows within its banks, not stopped by stones or debris, but flowing around each obstacle only to pick up speed. For the streams of my glory are coming together into mighty rivers that flow throughout the land. Don’t get stuck in the eddy currents that trap the cautious , but stay in the swift flow of My Spirit. For My Spirit will carry you forward to your appointed place and time. Come and follow Me.

Eddy Current Definition: a river feature that forms just downstream of an obstruction. An eddy can form on the side of a river or immediately after a boulder in a river. The water in an eddy is flowing in the opposite direction from the rest of the river and can at times be swirling and violent

Deuteronomy 1:6-8

The LORD our God said to us at Horeb, "You have stayed long enough at this mountain. Break camp and advance into the hill country of the Amorites; go to all the neighboring peoples in the Arabah, in the mountains, in the western foothills, in the Negev and along the coast, to the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon, as far as the great river, the Euphrates.

See, I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land that the LORD swore he would give to your fathers-- to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob-- and to their descendants after them."

Commentary

This prophetic word is a challenge to move forward into your calling and into your destiny. The cloud represents the Spirit of God leading us forward. The charge to prepare the scouts and the archers is saying that we need to spread our vision forward and to prepare to target distant opportunities as opposed to falling back to a small defensive perimeter.

The next part of this prophetic word says that God is going before us not just to lead us but to prepare the way. He says that we can follow His path as a river follows its banks. A river flows along a prepared path and the water that stays within the banks will flow efficiently toward its destination. In this picture God is showing us that He has gathered the waters into the river and directed its flow. The flow of the water around stones and obstacles shows that we are not supposed to come to a stop when we come to an obstacle just as a river cannot stop for an obstacle. We are to flow around it and as a river does with rapids, we will even pick up speed.

However there is a warning about the eddy currents. (See the definition above). Eddy currents along the sides of a river can trap objects that were flowing with the river. You will see then traveling in slow circles or even still in the water. This is a danger of trying to place it safe by staying near the shore. The Lord is challenging us to move out into the swift water that we may move forward quickly and not get stuck. It is the fast water that has the speed and power to move you along. However there is also a danger with the swift water. When the swift water encounters an obstacle, sometimes an eddy current will form behind the object, even forming a hydraulic which pulls downward trapping and even submerging whatever gets caught. In either case, staying with the fastest, straightest flow is the best. You should always being paddling forward to keep control in the rapids. Therefore this prophetic word is showing a picture of how we must boldly navigate the rapid water to reach our destination. Luckily, there is usually some calm water between the rapids to rest.
