Seasons Greeting

Are you ready for the new season. Though many prepare for the holiday season, you must prepare for My Holy Day season. For I am calling My people to a fast from fear and worry, and into a season of faith, hope and joy. The flesh would bring worry and dread. But I am still on My throne and My plans are coming forth. For I will truly answer the prayers of My people who cry out for me in this land and this time. But you must walk in the strength and confidence which I give you to be the faith, hope and joy for this season.

Fear not worldly loss in this season, for temporary loss in this world can purchase great spiritual gain in My kingdom. But you must light the way into My presence and My peace for a shaken world. For My kingdom is not shaken and My plans are for eternal gain, not just temporary survival.

Romans 12:1-2

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-- this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-- his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Commentary

This prophetic word describes a new season for us that seems to be counter intuitive. This word says that God is declaring a season of joy and that we should meet it with faith and hope in Him. Whether or not the election of our president brought the results you were looking for, God is pleased that so many have offered up prayers for this time and this country and that these prayers were heard and are being answered. But we are required to walk with confidence in Him during this season and not focus on the plans of man.

This word also says that this could be a season of worldly loss for many, but that there is a great opportunity to lead many to great spiritual awakening and growth.

The verse in Romans 12:1-2 says that we must see things from God’s perspective, not from the “patterns of this world”. We may be concerned about the economy, but God is considering this season as an opportunity for great growth in His Kingdom. But we must allow Him to transform our minds to understand this season and live in the faith, hope, and joy for this time.

I also included the lyrics from the Christmas carol “Joy to the World”. This is the song that kept coming to me as I was reading over this word. I had never paid that much attention to the words of this song before. But God used the words of this song to open My eyes to His meaning for this new season. This is not just a song for Christmas, but a song for this spiritual season. I will definitely think differently this year when hearing or singing this song. We can truly have joy for this season.
